Egyptian hieroglyphs appear in the historical record fully formed and sophisticated without evidence of a gradual evolution.
Egyptian writing did not appear fully formed in the Old Kingdom. Labels from tomb U-j at Abydos are carbon dated to about 3400 to 3200 BC and already show early hieroglyphic signs. Writing then developed through the late Predynastic and Early Dynastic periods. The first known full sentence in mature hieroglyphs dates to the Second Dynasty, centuries after those first signs, so the record shows gradual development.
Ancient temples were all tuned to acoustic resonances, working with the acoustic spectrum the way our phones work with the electromagnetic spectrum.
Some ancient chambers do resonate strongly. The best-known case is Malta's Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, which resonates at around 110 Hz, and a field called archaeoacoustics studies effects like this. But researchers say only that such sites may have been designed with sound in mind. They have not shown the builders tuned them on purpose, and they have not shown that temples everywhere were tuned. The claim takes a limited, uncertain finding and presents it as a proven technology used everywhere.
Ancient temple floral decorations match cymatic patterns.
Cymatics explores the visual representation of sound waves through physical patterns. While some observers note aesthetic similarities between floral motifs in ancient architecture and cymatic patterns, there is no archaeological evidence suggesting that these designs were intentionally derived from acoustic frequencies.
Egyptian hieroglyphics are more closely related to engineering diagrams than a language.
Egyptian hieroglyphs are a full writing system for the Egyptian language. They mix sound signs, word signs and meaning markers. Scholars read them as sentences with grammar, which is how they were deciphered, and full written sentences go back to the Second Dynasty. They are not engineering diagrams.
Children from the 'telepathy tapes' could read hieroglyphs without any formal education.
The podcast The Telepathy Tapes does have an episode where a nonspeaking girl is presented as reading Egyptian hieroglyphs. But she communicates through letter-board spelling methods that grew out of facilitated communication, and the claim has never been tested independently. When facilitated communication has been tested blind, answers came out right only when the facilitator knew them. The podcast's story is not evidence that these children can actually read hieroglyphs.
The Edfu building text is the oldest depiction of Atlantis.
The Edfu temple and its inscriptions date from 237 to 57 BC, which is later than Plato's account of Atlantis from around 360 BC. What the inscriptions describe is an Egyptian creation myth about a primeval island. Linking them to Atlantis is a modern fringe reading, not something the texts say.
Joe read a post saying samples taken inside the Great Pyramid in the 1970s found a crust of calcium sulfate up to an inch thick on the walls of the Queen's Chamber, and that this is what sulfuric acid leaves on limestone.
Salt crusts on the Queen's Chamber walls are real and have been reported since the 1800s. But a 2026 ScanPyramids study in Scientific Reports found the salt is mainly halite, ordinary sodium chloride, with no clear sign of widespread calcium sulfate. The researchers say the salt most likely comes from the limestone itself, which formed in ancient seawater, drawn out by humidity and moisture from visitors. That points away from acid residue.
Joe read a post presenting, as backed by chemistry, independent researcher Geoffrey Drumm's theory that the Great Pyramid produced sulfuric acid, methane was extracted beneath the Step Pyramid, Khafre's pyramid produced hydrochloric acid and the Red Pyramid produced ammonia.
This is one researcher's theory, and no published evidence supports it. The post's main chemical evidence, a calcium sulfate crust in the Queen's Chamber, is contradicted by a 2026 peer-reviewed study that found the salt is mostly table salt coming from the limestone itself. The Red Pyramid's ammonia smell is usually put down to centuries of bat droppings. No study has found that any of these pyramids made methane, hydrochloric acid or ammonia.
Analysis of the wall staining in the Red Pyramid found metal oxides including thorium, which is not left by bat colonies.
Chemical analysis of residue in the Red Pyramid is a subject of specialized archaeological research. Whether specific trace elements like thorium are present and whether they definitively exclude biological sources like bat guano requires access to specific peer-reviewed geological or chemical reports that are not globally established knowledge.
Joe read a post saying iron veins run through the bedrock beneath the Giza pyramids, that Geoffrey Drumm has mapped them, and that analysis found precious metals and rare earths along them, with one sample at 35% platinum.
The Giza Plateau is made of Middle Eocene marine limestone, and published geology describes no metal ore veins in it. A sample that was 35% platinum would be thousands of times richer than the world's best platinum ores, which hold only a few grams per tonne. No published analysis backs up the veins or the platinum figure.
Joe read a post saying that the long stone pits beside the Great Pyramid, assumed to have held ceremonial boats, were in Geoffrey Drumm's reading circuit breakers in an energy network.
The boat pits are not guesswork. In 1954 a sealed pit beside the Great Pyramid was opened and found to hold a full cedar ship, taken apart into 1,224 pieces with its original rope, and a second boat was later found in the neighboring pit. There is no evidence the pits had anything to do with electricity.

There is no widely established public record or globally recognized conference series by this specific name that confirms these exact dates. Verifying this would require access to current event scheduling databases or specific organizational press releases.
Angkor Wat is the most hydrologically advanced system in the ancient world.
Angkor did have a huge, sophisticated network of reservoirs, canals and moats, and research ranks it among the largest preindustrial cities in the world by area. But scholars don't rank it as the most advanced water system of the ancient world, and Angkor dates from about AD 802 to the 1400s, so it is medieval rather than ancient. It is also in Cambodia, not the Pacific islands, and LiDAR surveys have already mapped much of its scale.
The building texts on the walls of the Temple of Edfu are the first records of Atlantis, predating Plato.
The Temple of Edfu was built between 237 and 57 BC. Plato introduced Atlantis in the Timaeus around 360 BC, more than a century earlier, so the Edfu texts cannot come before Plato. The building texts tell an Egyptian creation myth about a first island rising from the waters where the first temple stood. They never mention Atlantis, and Plato's dialogues remain the only original source for it.
Egyptian conscious cosmology consists of the ka, the ba, and the light body called the merkaba.
Egyptian texts describe several parts of a person, including the ka (life force), the ba (personality, often drawn as a human-headed bird) and the akh (the transfigured spirit linked with light). None of them is called a merkaba. "Merkabah" is a Hebrew word meaning chariot, from Jewish mysticism. The spinning "Mer-Ka-Ba" light body comes from modern New Age teaching, not ancient Egypt.
The vagus nerve is directly connected to the ear and transmits signals to the ear before reaching the brain for processing.
The vagus nerve does have a small branch at the ear, but it only carries touch sensation from the skin of the ear canal and outer ear to the brainstem. Hearing travels a different route, through the cochlear nerve from the inner ear to the brainstem and on to the hearing areas of the brain. Sound does not pass through the vagus nerve on its way to the brain.
The large holed stones near the Durupinar 'Noah's Ark' site in Turkey are drogue or anchor stones, the kind found in ancient Greek and Roman ports, hung off a ship to keep it stable in rough water or anchored.
This line comes from a clip played on the show. Stone anchors with a rope hole are real and have been found across the ancient Mediterranean. But geologists who studied the stones near the Durupinar site found they are made of local volcanic rock, so no ark could have carried them there, and the same work found the boat-shaped formation is natural. Calling these particular stones an ark's drogue stones is not supported.
Sound is the only medium humans can manipulate other than their immediate physical surroundings.
Not a checkable claim: Engle was making a loose, big-picture remark about how he thinks people used their voices inside temples. Taken literally it would be wrong, since people also control light, heat and radio signals, and minutes earlier he himself mentioned the electromagnetic spectrum in our phones. In context he meant sound as something the body alone can shape in a room, which is an opinion about the human voice rather than a factual claim about physics.
